Baker Artist Portfolios

The Baker Artist Portfolios were created to support artists and promote Greater Baltimore as a strong creative community. The free online portfolios are open to artists working in all disciplines who live and work in Baltimore City and its five surrounding counties. The portfolios expose area artists’ work to regional, national and international audiences. Artists with portfolios are invited to participate in a wide variety of opportunities, including showcases, exhibitions, and fairs.

The portfolios and associated awards were established by the William G. Baker, Jr. Memorial Fund and are a program of the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance.

Baker Artist Awards

The Baker Artist Awards recognize artists who demonstrate excellence in three areas: mastery of craft, depth of artistic exploration, and unique vision.

All artists who have an active portfolio on the Baker website at the time of the deadline  are automatically considered for one of six Baker Artist Awards, which include $90,000 in annual prizes, PR support, and exhibition and showcase opportunities, including a bi-annual exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art for awardees in the Visual Arts and Interdisciplinary categories.

Since 2009, the Baker Artist Awards have awarded over $1.4 million to over 156 artists.

It would also be great if there was something on the page for the 2025 Baker Artist Awardees:

Text could be simple: 2025 Baker Artist Awardees

Then we could include their circle images? On top of each image would be the discipline they were awarded in and below their name?
